History of the TCA Keystone Division
In August of 1978, a group of toy train collectors met in Lancaster, PA at the home of a TCA member. The group discussed the need to promote and increase interest in the hobby of toy train collecting in South-Central Pennsylvania. A desire to have more local train meets and solicit more volunteer participation at the TCA National Museum was part of the discussion. Afterwards, an ad-hoc committee was formed to survey interest among local TCA members. The committee decided upon the area to be covered by the new division to include the Pennsylvania Counties of Adams, Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York. After receiving significant interest from many local TCA members, the committee petitioned the TCA National Board of Directors to approve the creation of a new Keystone Division. At a meeting of the National Board on October 1st, 1978, the petitioned was approved. The Keystone Division has continued to promote and increase interest in the hobby of toy train operation and collecting to this day.
Each year the Division plans for four train meets at the Lancaster Farm & Home Center at 1383 Arcadia Road (located behind Jones Honda in Lancaster).
Cabin Fever Auction's sponsorship of our train meets is greatly appreciated.
